I had a total home warranty for over two years. Never once did they fix anything.
The first two or three times I called for service, I waited days for someone to show up. I was told they did not have a tech to send out! Well, you can't go without water or heat/air for days. The only time a tech did show up, I was told they not only could not fix my AC unit but that it had been abused and the warranty would not cover the repair and/or replacement.
Had the unit been abused? Well, it was 21 years old and had been subject to the elements. Is that abuse or normal wear and tear? I had another company come out and the unit was repaired in ten minutes at very little cost to me.
They said the unit did need to be replaced soon which I paid then to do about four weeks later. I would NEVER use SEARS again for anything nor will I frequent their stores.
I rarely give reviews. I only do it the service is extremely bad or excellent.
