2 weeks ago, I called Sears Home Services
to replace a broken water dispense lever.
I was told that the Repair Man would arrive
within 3 business days, between the hours
of 1 to 7 PM. Waited all afternoon, and no
one showed up. By 6 P.M. I called Sears and was told that the Repair Man could not come, no apology offered. Was given
assurances that the Repair Man would be
at home between 1P.M. and 6 P.M. the next day. Again, I waited all afternoon, and again no repair man came. I called Sears
again was told the Repair Man would arrive by 7 P.M.. By 7:15 P.M. the Repair Man arrived without the new part. On the
4th day, another Repair Man arrived, looked at my refrigerator and said: "well,
I do not have your part, but i will have to
leave because I have another job waiting".
Before leaving, the Repair Man gave me
an estimate which I approved. Upon his
return, he finally completed the repair, then
increased the cost of the repair by nearly
$75.00. I refused to pay inflated cost, and
told him that wanted to speak to his
Supervisor. He refused to call his Superior
but would gladly remove the part already
installed, and charge me $75.00 service
charge for his trip. I then contacted Sears
Customer Conflict Resolution Center who
then ordered the Repair Technician to call
his Superior who then instucted him to honor his pre-repair estimate. I will be very
hesitant to call Sears Home Services in the
(B.V.) Kissimmee FL.
