I am writing this review as I now have spoken with Sears 4 times today each time more frustrating and am on hold AGAIN.They are trying to resolve my issue. 2 weeks ago, I called Sears Home Services to replace a broken water dispense lever. I was told that the Repair Man would arrive within 3 business days, between the hours of 1 to 7 PM. Waited all afternoon, and no one showed up. By 6 P.M. I called Sears and was told that the Repair Man could not come, no apology offered. My fridge is collecting water in the bottom shelf and we called the repair guy and we came to know that the sears repair work is not covered since it is not a mechanical failure. When they sold this they did not tell us. Here is the bottom line if you have a motor that fails every 6 months it might be worth otherwise it is waste of money. We have been having major electrical issues with our refrigerator since Thanksgiving (4.5 months ago!) and when the Sears technician came out, they said they needed to replace one of the circuit boards. Purchased an entire Kenmore Elite kitchen suite in 2015. Turned out to be a not so 'suite' deal. Sears has done a great job of making Kenmore a household name but the truth is, Kenmore products are poorly manufactured. The idea of purchasing an extended warranty is offensive to me.
