Sears could not get to me sooner but did give me 40000 Shop Your Way points for my inconvenience. I contacted GE today and they can set someone out tomorrow. I will not hire Sears Home Services in the future.

Sears Home Services was supposed to come to our house to repair the clothes washer between 1pm and 5pm today. I called in the morning and they said we were in the 3pm to 5pm window. The tech called at 3pm and said he would come between 5pm and 6pm. At 6pm I called...

Sears Home Services - Washing Machine Repair Review from Upper Marlboro, Maryland

This has been the worst service or lack there of service I have ever received and I am completely annoyed by Sears Home Services. After scheduling an appointment for services on my washing machine a repair was scheduled to arrive Friday, March 26 between 1-5pm. Of course that's a large window but when it's 4:15 and no one from Sears Home Services called I got worried and called to find out the status. After speaking with Heather (id 251928) I am informed that the repairman (id 942-664) is running behind and after I've sat in the house for 4 hours I should wait a little longer as someone will now be there between 6:30-7pm. Great thing I called Sears Home Services because there was no way I would have known that they extended my appointment time. As you can imagine by the unprofessionalism thus far the clock struck 7pm and now repairman called, appeared, or serviced my washing machine in a house with toddlers. After I again had to contact Sears Home Services they now admit no one will be at my home and they could schedule me for a Tuesday appointment. How unprofessional and unrealistic. I waited all week for my scheduled appointment, waited 4 plus hours for a repairman to arrive now the best resolution you can provide is to reschedule and not for the next day but four days away on a Tuesday. What a joke of a service company. I have never experienced something so ridiculous not even from a cable companies installation. This is completely ridiculous and I would never recommend Sears Home Services. I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau because customers should not be treated like this. As much a I respect the technicians time they should be able to gauge their time to keep customers updated and when you can't make a scheduled appointment the next day should be the only option for the huge inconvenience you have now caused a person.

Sears Home Services in Columbia, Maryland - Did not follow up through with promises

Our technician neglected to leave the credit/coupon to use toward a future purchase after he left a ridiculous estimate for my Kenmore washer. He was told we would not be repairing it so he should have left the coupon. I called on several occasions and chatted online with several representatives who gave "textbook" answers and refused to go out of their way to assist me in getting this coupon via email. I was told I would get it in 7-14 days. I have an extremely hard time understanding why it would take that long to get a coupon when the tech. should have left it on the day he gave that ridiculous estimate. I even talked to a 'supervisor' who would not help in any way possible. You mean to tell me in this technology savy world a coupon could not be emailed by a push of a button??? Since the purchase was for a washer, the 10% coupon would have been useful.

Sears Home Services in Bowie, Maryland - Sears technician ripped me off

I called Sears for a tech to come as my washer was leaking and was told it would be $79 for the diagnosis. Then I would be given an estimate for repairs which I could accept or not. The tech said there is nothing wrong with your washer but it is backing up and the pipes behind are overflowing and I need a plumber. He said I needed to pay $133. I refused. He called customer service and I talked to him and he said he understood what I was saying before hanging up on me. Then he called his manager who said to charge me $133 and would not let me talk to him. Then he said it would go to collections and at first refused the $79 and then he took it by check. I called the customer relations number at Sears. I've been waiting for over an hour for someone to answer my call.
